We're Going to the Olympics!

I almost don't know what to say! Rebecca says that I am so excited that I am spastic! God has been so good to us, and we will be going to Beijing on August 18th to see 4 days of Olympics (including the closing ceremonies) and do 2 days of sight-seeing. It will be a whirlwind, and we will need to be documenting everything on film and video in order to produce material for the Panasonic website. What an adventure!

I feel bad for the families that didn't win, but Greg told us that they were going to do something for all the families that applied. What a great bunch!

Here's the version of our video that we sent to Panasonic along with our application.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You guys are really on a contest-winning roll. This is amazing that you will get to attend the Olympics ... the kids (and you and Terry as well) will always remember getting to attend such an incredible event. I must say, the video was pretty sweet. I'd have given you the trip, that's for sure. Go Team Seaman.

I just new you were going to win once I saw that video! I am so excited for you! I think I know what Rebecca means about you being so excited that you are spastic. I can relate to the way that would feel. I'd be spastic, too.

There sure are a lot of homonyms in the English language. I do(dew) know(no) that "new" should have been spelled "knew." I even thought that I proofed what I wrote(rote) before I posted it. I guess it was just too(to, two) late at night(knight).
Did I miss any?

Congratulations! I'm a reporter for an American newspaper in Beijing and came across your blog; we'll be covering the Games, and I'd love to find out what your family thinks of the city and the Olympics when you arrive. I've also lived in China for about a year, so feel free to ask me any questions about the city and getting around. My e-mail address is loretta [dot] chao [at] wsj [dot] com. Thanks and take care!
